Patagonia wetsuits use the highest quality Japanese neoprene. It has a 98% closed-cell ratio, which adds dead air space and with it, warmth.

Features – Men’s R3® Back-Zip Full Suit
• We use high-quality 3mm neoprene backed by a recycled polyester/chlorine-free wool grid laminate to increase warmth by creating a larger dead air space (Patented)
• 3mm neoprene underarm panels are backed by polyester jersey for greater stretch while paddling
• Mesh skin exterior on torso, arms, back and hips results in greater warmth by eliminating evaporative cooling in windy conditions
• Recycled polyester jersey on butt and legs decreases environmental impact
• All seams are glued; critical seams are glued and blindstitched
• Back zipper is angled off to the side and has a crescent-shaped neoprene panel for a better seal at the neck and easier zipping
• Internal pullover-style neck gasket (1.5mm neoprene with a polyester jersey surface and key pocket at the base) enhances the seal at the neck and prevents water from flushing into the suit
• Zipper seams are blindstitched for a clean-finished exterior on the zipper gusset and to eliminate potential seam abrasion
• Base of the zipper gusset has drain holes to release internal water
• Hook-and-loop closure on the neck flap is set off to the side to reduce chafing
• Seam tape functions as a bar tack at wrist and ankle stress points
• One-piece front and back panels eliminate the need for a weak T-joint seam in the crotch
• Anatomical, PVC-free kneepads are more durable, provide more grip and create less environmental damage than traditional kneepads

Fabric: Upper body: 3mm mesh skin neoprene with recycled polyester/chlorine-free wool laminate. Lower body: 3mm neoprene with recycled polyester/chlorine-free wool laminate and recycled polyester jersey exterior. Underarm panels: 3 mm neoprene with recycled polyester jersey on both sides.
